Clinical Services
Mariah is a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Oregon and Wisconsin and a Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist through the American Dance Therapy Association. She works with children, adolescents and adults in individual and group settings. Mariah is paneled as an insurance provider with Aetna, Moda, Cigna, and Regence/BCBS and she accepts private pay clients on a sliding fee scale. Currently, due to COVID-19, all sessions are offered through a virtual format.
Mariah incorporates a variety of theories and methods in her work, including but not limited to: dance/movement therapy, movement observation, attachment theory, and intersectional feminism. Areas of significant interest to her include – embodied spirituality, developmental trauma, fostering resilience through movement, neurodiversity, and interpersonal neurobiology.
Mariah has a passion for educating and supervising the next generation of therapists. She graduated in April 2022 with her PhD in Leadership with a Specialization in Counselor Education & Supervision from the CACREP accredited program at the University of the Cumberlands. Her mixed-methods dissertation study focused on dance/movement therapy supervision in practice. Additionally, Mariah is an approved LPC Supervisor in the state of Oregon. She provides clinical supervision for dance/movement therapists and professional counselors in both individual and group settings, and is available for supervision services for those professionals seeking hours towards degree completion, licensure, and board certification.
